COVID-19 PRESS RELEASE
March 30, 2020

Residents of the City of Emporia and Greensville County are expected to stay home during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.  Travel is limited for essential functions only.  Residents will refrain from gathering in groups of 10 or more and practice social distancing. Residents will follow all federal, state, and local directives.

The Greensville County Government Building closed at 12 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 to the public. The building will remain closed to the public until further notice. Our departments remain staffed and will continue providing you uninterrupted service.
We are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. 

 

GCWSA customers are encouraged to pay their utility bills online or by mail.

Greensville County Water and Sewer Authority

As our nation prepares for the Covid-19 virus, the Greensville County Water & Sewer Authority (GCWSA) is here to serve you. GCWSA will continue to provide you uninterrupted service.  Our business office is open during normal business hours.  We are taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  We encourage customers to pay bills online or via mail. GCWSA will install a payment drop box in the next two to three weeks.  This new payment option will allow you to make payments without entering the building.  If you need to interact with our staff please contact our office via phone, email or mail. 

Visitors entering the Greensville County Government Building will be screened to ensure they are not at risk of the virus.  While in the Government Building, we ask you to maintain personal space between yourself and others. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, as it is part of our efforts to keep our customers and employees healthy while limiting the spread of the virus.
