Wildlife

Greensville County is home to a variety of wildlife species which include deer, turkey, bear, fox, raccoon, possums, skunks and birds. The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) is the agency responsible for all wildlife issues. Greensville County Animal Control Officers support the VDGIF Conservation Police Officers (CPO) when requested.

All wild animal complaints should be reported to the Greensville County Sheriff Office by calling (434) 348-4200 or 911 in an emergency. The dispatchers will forward the call to the CPO on duty.
