Our Mission

The goal of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office is to provide quality public safety services to our community by promoting a safe environment through police and citizen interaction, with emphasis on Integrity, Fairness, and Professionalism.

Sheriff Jarratt:

Our Services

Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of GCSO provides law enforcement services to the county's residents and visitors. It serves the entire Greensville County area.

Courthouse Security

The GCSO is the primary security that ensures the safety of all judges, courtrooms, and the court clerks in the Greensville County Courthouse, along with the many people who visit the courthouse each business day.

Civil Process

The Civil Process division is an extension of the Patrol Division. Civil Process deputies are responsible for serving and executing various legal processes issued by the courts, attorneys, and citizens. Civil papers are served in an accurate and expeditious manner.

Our Emergency 9-1-1 center handles all emergency and routine phone calls. Communications Deputies assess the emergency, decide which type of help is needed, and dispatch the appropriate assistance immediately. E911 dispatch is a liaison between the victim and help. Communications Deputies also enter information regarding wanted persons into the state and national criminal information networks.
