The provision of public transportation has been cited as the highest priority to improve the quality of life in Greensville/ Emporia. The County of Greensville and the City of Emporia worked together to address this need. They recognized through their work with citizens that the lack of transportation is a barrier to access numerous essential services, as well as employment. The Greensville Emporia Transit system is designed to provide an efficient and effective transit route that connects residents more easily with employment, education, healthcare, essential government services, shopping and recreation through high quality, community oriented, transit services within a one hour timeframe.
