Mission

To enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Who We Are

Established September 9, 1999, The Boys and Girls Club of Emporia- Greensville hit the ground running by providing the local youth with a place where they can be free to have personal expression and gain self-improvement. Over the years the BGC has had several expansions which led to the opening of two new additions to the original Armory Teen Center. With the opening of the (GES unit) Greensville Elementary School Unit and the (WPCC) Washington Park Community Center, the BGC has opened the doors for many more youth allowing them to take advantage of the resources offered by the Emporia-Greensville BGC.

The Boys & Girls Club of Emporia- Greensville helps build character through everyday leadership and guidance in behavior and attitude.
Trained professional staff provides adult mentors and role models to the youth members. Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices.

Most importantly, the Boys & Girls Club demonstrates to kids and teens that someone cares and wants them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
